1. What is BRF?

BRF (Best Robot Forever) is your AI-powered habit companion. Unlike traditional habit trackers that just show checkboxes, BRF actively helps you build good habits and break bad ones through conversation, encouragement, and intelligent suggestions.

You can ask BRF to create habits for you just by chatting! Try saying "Help me create a morning meditation habit" and BRF will set it up.

2. Creating Your First Habit

There are two ways to create habits in BRF: through conversation or using the habit tracker directly.

Method 1: Chat with BRF

Simply tell BRF what habit you want to build. BRF understands natural language and can help you define your habit with the right parameters.

  • "I want to read for 20 minutes every day"
  • "Help me drink more water"
  • "Create a habit to exercise 3 times per week"
  • "I need to stop checking my phone first thing in the morning"

Method 2: Habit Tracker

Use the dedicated Habit Tracker page to manually create and manage habits:

  1. Navigate to the Habits page
  2. Click the + button to add a new habit
  3. Enter a name and select the habit type (BUILD or BREAK)
  4. Choose a frequency (daily, weekly, custom)
  5. Optionally add an icon and category

Habit Properties

  • Name: A clear, action-oriented description (e.g., "Drink 8 glasses of water")
  • Type: BUILD (good habit to develop) or BREAK (bad habit to stop)
  • Frequency: How often you want to complete it
  • Icon: Visual identifier for quick recognition
  • Category: Health, Productivity, Learning, etc.

3. BUILD vs BREAK Habits

BRF organizes habits into two categories that reflect how behavior change actually works.

BUILD Habits

These are positive habits you want to develop and make part of your routine. You complete them by doing the activity.

  • ✅ Morning meditation
  • ✅ Exercise 30 minutes
  • ✅ Read 10 pages
  • ✅ Practice a language
  • ✅ Drink water

BREAK Habits

These are negative habits you want to stop. You complete them by not doing the activity for the specified period.

  • 🛑 No social media scrolling
  • 🛑 No snacking after 8pm
  • 🛑 No hitting snooze
  • 🛑 No nail biting
  • 🛑 No phone in bed
How BREAK Habits Work

At the end of each day, mark your BREAK habits as complete if you successfully avoided the behavior. BRF can also remind you to reflect on your triggers and progress.

4. Habit Stacks

Habit stacking is a powerful technique where you chain multiple habits together into a routine. When you complete a stack, all habits in it are marked done at once.

Why Use Stacks?

  • Efficiency: Complete multiple habits in one focused session
  • Consistency: Routines are easier to maintain than individual habits
  • Momentum: Each completed habit builds energy for the next
  • Reduced Decision Fatigue: You know exactly what comes next

Example Stacks

🌅 Morning Ritual Stack

1. Make bed (2 min) → 2. Drink water (1 min) → 3. Stretching (5 min) → 4. Meditation (10 min) → 5. Journal (5 min)

🌙 Evening Wind-down Stack

1. Review tomorrow's tasks (5 min) → 2. Tidy workspace (5 min) → 3. Read (20 min) → 4. No screens (30 min)

💊 Workout Stack

1. Pre-workout stretch (5 min) → 2. Main exercise (30 min) → 3. Cool-down (5 min) → 4. Protein shake

Creating a Stack

  1. First, create the individual habits you want to include
  2. Go to the Stacks section in your Habit Tracker
  3. Click "Create Stack" and give it a name
  4. Select the habits to include and arrange their order
  5. Save your stack
ðŸ’Ą Stack Pro Tips

Start small! A 3-habit stack completed consistently beats a 10-habit stack you abandon. You can always add more habits later as your routine solidifies.

5. Daily Challenges

BRF provides daily challenges to keep you motivated and help you stretch beyond your comfort zone. Challenges are divided into BUILD and BREAK categories.

Daily Challenge Structure

🏗ïļ
BUILD Challenge
Complete X good habits today
ðŸ›Ąïļ
BREAK Challenge
Resist X bad habits for 24 hours

Challenge Rewards

  • Points: Earn XP for completing challenges
  • Streaks: Build consecutive day streaks for bonus rewards

You can choose different visual metaphors for your growth journey: Tree, Statue, Temple, Body, or Garden. Each tells a different story of your progress. Change your metaphor anytime in Settings.

7. Build the Monument

This is what makes BRF unique. Your habit progress contributes to building a real-world community monument. It's not just about personal growth - together, we're creating something lasting.

How It Works

  1. Virtual Bricks: As you reach milestones (30 days, 60 days, etc.), you earn virtual bricks
  2. Community Progress: All users' bricks combine toward monument goals
  3. Real Impact: Once funded, monuments are built in the real world
  4. Your Name: Top contributors get their names on actual monuments

Milestone Rewards
